Redshirt junior quarterback Caleb Henderson, who transferred last year from North Carolina with hopes of winning a starting job going into the 2017 season, sat out Maryland’s practice Friday with an apparent foot injury.
At the practice, the third of four sessions opened to the media during the preseason, Henderson was seen wearing a protective boot on his right foot. Henderson suffered an ankle injury toward the end of spring practice that caused him to sit out the Red-White game. He later tweeted that he had broken the ankle.
Even before the current injury, it appeared as if both sophomore Tyrrell Pigrome and freshman Kasim Hill had moved ahead of Henderson based on the fact that they were getting more of an opportunity to play with the No.
