Maryland QB Caleb Henderson is ‘95 percent’ as team begins fall practice

Maryland quarterback Caleb Henderson spent most of spring practice taking first-team reps, and after breaking his foot in April, the redshirt junior is ready to return to the field.

“Caleb is healthy, running, doing everything, so for a percentage, I’d say about 95 percent, maybe higher, almost 100 right now,” head coach DJ Durkin said at the team’s preseason press conference Tuesday. “So he’ll be competing, participating, not held out of practice at all.”

Henderson will join sophomores Tyrrell Pigrome and Max Bortenschlager and freshman Kasim Hill in a competition to start at Texas a month from now.
