When construction on Cole Field House is finally finished, the Maryland football team will travel to Maryland Stadium through an underground tunnel, an athletics spokesman told The Diamondback.
The school doesn’t have its exact methods for building the tunnel set in stone, The Diamondback reports, but it’ll go from the team’s locker room in Cole to the southeast corner of the end zone.
The Diamondback has a rendering of what the school thinks the outside of the tunnel will look like, so click on the above link to check it out.
The Cole Field House project is supposed to be finished by “late 2018,” which means we may not see the Terps running out of this tunnel until the 2019 season.
