Maryland redshirt sophomore Shane Cockerille has been moved back to quarterback ahead of Saturday’s game against Penn State, marking a return to his original position after playing the first six games as a fullback.
While junior Perry Hills has solidified his spot as the team’s starting quarterback, Cockerille and redshirt junior Caleb Rowe are listed as co-backups on the team’s latest two-deep. The move comes just four months after Cockerille was moved from quarterback to fullback following spring practice, where he split reps under center with Hills. Senior quarterback Daxx Garman is not listed on this week’s two-deep.
