Winless after its first four games of the season, Maryland men’s soccer (2-2-2) is now on a roll. The Terrapins have won twice in a row, most recently stunning Northwestern on the road.
Down 1-0 in the 84th minute, freshman William James Herve’s poke was the equalizer the Terps were longing for. And five minutes into overtime, he walked it off by shooting the ball right through the legs of the Wildcats goalie.
It was Maryland’s first road game since the season opener, and now it will be rewarded with three consecutive matches at Ludwig Field. The first test will be against William & Mary, which will make the trip north from Williamsburg, Virginia.
