Maryland men’s soccer was 20 seconds away from securing a second straight victory to open conference play on the road against Indiana. Instead, the game was suspended due to inclement weather and is set to be completed at a later date.
The match was relatively even in the first half until Colin Griffith won a penalty with just under five minutes left. Leon Koehl stepped up to the spot and converted it for the goal that remained the difference at the time of the game’s suspension.
In the second half, Indiana was searching hard for an equalizer, but up to the point of the game’s suspension, Maryland’s defense and goalie Laurin Mack were able to stifle them.
