The Maryland men’s soccer team announced its 2018 schedule Tuesday afternoon, which includes 10 opponents from last year’s NCAA Tournament. The Terps open the season on Aug. 24 at Washington before their home opener against three-time defending national champion Stanford on Friday, Aug. 31.
The schedule release also confirmed reports of Maryland and Virginia meeting up for a neutral-site match. On Labor Day, the former ACC foes will play the first-ever college soccer match at D.C. United’s Audi Field, which is slated to open in July.
After ending the season on a six-game losing streak — including a first-round loss at home to Albany in the NCAA Tournament — Maryland will embrace one of the toughest but most exciting schedules in the country.
