Maryland men’s soccer’s regular season is over, and it ends on a sour note. Despite tying the score late in the second half, the Terps fell to Michigan just 34 seconds into overtime, 2-1.
Jack Hallahan was all over the field for Michigan on Sunday. In the 34th minute, his cross found the head of Donovan Pines, who scored a rare own-goal to give the Wolverines the lead. And in overtime, he scored immediately on a breakaway to avoid giving the Terrapins any chance at earning a comeback victory.
The teams traded shots back and forth in the first half, and each side tallied four shots on goal in the period.
