It wasn't pretty, but the Maryland men's lacrosse team clinched a share of the Big Ten season title Sunday night with a 10-8 win over Ohio State.
The No. 5 Terps (11-2) entered the game as heavy favorites against the Buckeyes (6-8). But for the first half, it appeared the Terrapins might fall. Ohio State juniors Austin Shanks and Carter Brown led the Buckeyes on offense, and helped give them a 5-3 lead in the second quarter.
But the Terrapins refused to enter the locker room facing a deficit, scoring three straight goals to take a 6-5 lead into half.
