Maryland men's lacrosse uses familiar formula to get back to Final Four

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Maryland is becoming a sure bet in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals under head coach John Tillman.

The Terps relied on a familiar formula on Saturday to improve to 5-0 in quarterfinal contests during Tillman's six-year tenure.

Junior attackman Matt Rambo led an offense that dominated possession with six points while goalkeeper Kyle Bernlohr anchored a suffocating defensive effort with 15 saves as top-seeded Maryland defeated No. 8 Syracuse, 13-7, in a quarterfinal matchup held at Brown Stadium.

Rambo scored four goals and dished off two assists to remain one of the hottest offensive players in college lacrosse.
