Maryland men’s lacrosse has landed a commitment from attackman Nick DeMaio, the No. 7 player in the Class of 2019. DeMaio, who decommitted from Boston University on Nov. 15, will enroll at Maryland in January and be eligible to play for the Terps in the spring.
DeMaio played his high school lacrosse at Coronado High School in California, tallying 198 goals and 192 assists in his career. He was set to play a postgrad season at Avon Old Farms School in Connecticut, but will instead join his older brother, Anthony, on Maryland’s offense.
The elder DeMaio also enrolled at Maryland in January two seasons ago, and while he redshirted the 2017 season that saw the Terps capture a national championship, he appeared in all 18 games last season and tallied 13 points.
