Maryland men’s basketball’s game vs James Madison cancelled

Maryland men’s basketball’s Dec. 5 game against James Madison has been cancelled, the Dukes program announced Friday night.

The game was cut due to a positive COVID-19 test within James Madison’s program, with the contest originally set to tip-off in less than 24 hours.

Saturday’s cancellation is the fourth within a week for the Terps, who had scheduled their game against James Madison in response to their Dec. 1 contests with Monmouth and Towson both getting scrapped due to positive tests from the opposing teams. They played Saint Peter’s Friday afternoon in place of George Mason, who also faced COVID-19 issues.
