Maryland men’s basketball tops Marshall

The Maryland men’s basketball team had one final tune-up before Big Ten play.

Despite 19 turnovers, the Terrapins cruised to an 87-67 win over Marshall.

Maryland’s dominant frontcourt was on full display on Sunday afternoon. Forward Robert Carter led the way for Maryland with 19 points and eight rebounds, while center Diamond Stone added 16 points and seven rebounds.

The Terps out-rebounded the Thundering Herd 44-37, including a whopping 34 defensive rebounds. Eight players had at least three rebounds in the winning effort.

The game was a back-and-forth affair during the opening five minutes, including six points from Carter.
