The Maryland basketball team is off to a 5-0 start.
Guard Rasheed Sulaimon is one of the biggest reasons for that and is definitely proving his worth.
During the Terrapins’ two-game run to a Cancun Challenge championship, Sulaimon was by far the most impressive player on the floor. The Duke transfer averaged 17.5 points-per-game and connected on six of his nine three-point attempts.
In Tuesday’s game against Illinois State, Sulaimon gave the lift that Maryland needed in the beginning and end of the game. The Texas native scored five points in the first 3:39 to get the Terps off to a solid start and netted seven of the team’s last 12 points.
