Everything was falling apart for Maryland men’s basketball.
With under two minutes remaining, a once 16-point lead over Penn State had shrunk to one. Then, the Nittany Lions earned their first lead of the contest, the Terrapin defense struggling to get the job done and the offense gone cold.
Things only got worse from there.
With around 30 seconds left, Maryland tried to follow a harassing offense, trying to adjust as its opponent moved the ball back and forth, in and out of the paint, a complex slew of passes.
The ball eventually found forward Seth Lundy beyond the top right of the arc.
