Even great teams have off nights.
That seemed to be the case for the Maryland men’s basketball team, who fell 70-67 to Michigan on Tuesday evening. Despite erasing a 12-point second half deficit, it wasn’t enough for the Terrapins to continue their winning streak.
The trio of forward Robert Carter, Jake Layman, and center Diamond Stone shot a combined 21-of-34 (61.8 percent) from the field. Unfortunately for Maryland, the rest of the team only made five of 24 field goal attempts with guard Melo Trimble having one of the worst games of his career with just two points and three assists.
