A stagnant end to the first half proved to be a wake-up call for the Maryland men’s basketball team.
After leading by just six points at halftime, the Terrapins outscored Maryland-Eastern Shore 42-27 en route to a 77-56 win on Saturday.
Guard Melo Trimble led Maryland with 18 points and four assists while his backcourt mate Rasheed Sulaimon dished out a career-high 10 assists. The Terps also shot 47.6 percent from beyond the arc.
Maryland came out shooting the basketball very well as they connected on five of their first six shots.
