This was mostly a formality, but Maryland football now knows it’ll have one of its best players back for 2017.
Linebacker Jermaine Carter Jr. announced Tuesday on Twitter that he won’t be entering the NFL Draft and will return to College Park for his senior season.

Carter definitely has a shot at making the pros if he has a solid senior season, but didn’t appear to have much of a chance to get drafted after this year.
