Matt Rambo has been the straw that stirs the drink for Maryland over the past few years.
On Thursday, the Terrapin attackman was named one of the five finalists for the Tewaaraton Award. The annual honor is given to the top player in college lacrosse and will be announced on June 1.
Rambo joins Trevor Baptiste (Denver), Connor Fields (Albany), Ben Reeves (Yale), and Patrick Spencer (Loyola Md.) as the finalists for the award.
The Glenside (Pa.) native is only the second Terp to ever be named a finalist for the prestigious trophy. Joe Walters made the final group in 2006, but didn’t win the award.
