Maryland men’s and women’s lacrosse are a combined 16-2 and both ranked in the top three in the country, so it’s no surprise to see Terps flooding midseason All-America lists.
Inside Lacrosse released its midseason teams Thursday, and the men’s and women’s first teams featured two Maryland players each. Midfielder Connor Kelly and defender Bryce Young were first-team selections on the men’s side, while attacker Megan Whittle and midfielder Lizzie Colson earned identical honors on the women’s side. Kelly and Whittle finished the 2017 season as First Team All-Americans, while Young and Colson have stepped up after the Terps lost a combined five such honorees to graduation after sweeping the national titles last season.
