Maryland junior QB Taulia Tagovailoa named to Maxwell Award watch list

The University of Maryland announced Monday that junior quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa was named to the 85th annual Maxwell Award watch list.

Tagovailoa is the first Terp since former running back Anthony McFarland in 2019and first Maryland quarterback since Danny O’Brien in 2011 to make the Maxwell Award watch list.

Tagovailoa appeared in four games for the Terps during the 2020 season, throwing for 1,011 yards, seven touchdowns and seven interceptions.
