Maryland men’s basketball coach Mark Turgeon said injured guard Dion Wiley is recovering “slowly” from a torn meniscus in his knee, though he appears to be right on schedule in his rehabilitiation.
“If you ask the doctor he’s doing great,” Turgeon said Wednesday. “If you ask me, it’s going slowly.”
Wiley had surgery performed in early November and is expected to be out for the season.
“He’s still on crutches, gets off crutches next week,” Turgeon said. “He’s started lifting and some rehab stuff, bending it. Hopefully late next week he’ll start walking without crutches.
