Maryland’s Justin Jackson is somewhat surprised that he has already started seven games during his freshman season, although being in this position is all he’s ever known during his basketball life. Everything about Jackson is pronounced: his 7-foot-3 wingspan, his nine-inch hands, the way he seamlessly plays offense on both the interior and perimeter. But his confidence is understated. That’s how Jackson prefers to keep it, because even after prominent offensive performances in wins over Georgetown, Richmond and Kansas State, he admits that he is still grappling with his confidence as a shooter less than a month into his first college season.
