Maryland men's basketball freshman center Diamond Stone will declare for the NBA draft but not yet hire an agent, according to a report from Cleveland.com.
Stone is widely projected as a first-round draft pick, but his stock dropped toward the end of the Terps' season. By not hiring an agent, he would retain his eligibility and could return for another season in College Park, so long as he pulls his name out of the draft by June 13. The draft will take place on June 23.
The player's father, Bob Stone, denied the report, according to 247sports.
