Maryland’s non-conference game against Florida International University has been moved up to Friday, Sept. 9, a day earlier than originally scheduled, the school announced on Wednesday.
While a kickoff time has not been set, it will likely be slotted for Friday evening and guarantee Maryland a larger television audience than it would’ve received by playing on Saturday afternoon.
The matchup against the Panthers, which will take place in Miami as the return-game after the two schools met in College Park back in 2013, will mark Maryland’s first road test of the 2015 season and the first of two trips to Florida in September.
