Maryland's football game at Florida International in the fall has been changed from Sept. 10 to Sept. 9, the program announced Wednesday.
That means the game will be on a Friday instead of a Saturday, which in turn means it's very likely to be a night game with a wider television audience than previously expected. Friday afternoon games are almost never a thing during the regular season, so the game will almost certainly happen under the stars.
It's going to be Maryland's first Friday game since the 2013 season's Military Bowl, and it'll be the first such regular season game since Maryland played Miami on Sept.
