Maryland football will hire Kentucky’s Jimmy Brumbaugh as defensive line coach, per report

A little under a month after defensive line coach and assistant head coach Mike London left to become Howard’s head coach, 247Sports’ Ryan Bartow is reporting Maryland will hire Kentucky assistant Jimmy Brumbaugh as its new defensive line coach and co-defensive coordinator. Multiple reports have since confirmed the news.

Brumbaugh comes to the Terps from the same program as the man he’ll be running Maryland’s defense with. Current defensive coordinator Andy Buh landed at Maryland last spring when Scott Shafer left the program for “personal reasons.”

This is a tough loss for UK. Brumbaugh has been instrumental in developing some quality defensive linemen since coming to UK.
