After somewhat exceeding expectations with a 7-6 finish and postseason appearance last year, Maryland enters its second season in the Big Ten with plenty of questions on both sides of the ball. Ahead of Saturday’s opener against Richmond in College Park, here’s a rundown of story lines to watch in 2015:
Perry Hills returns to a starting role
Hills will make his first start since 2012 on Saturday against Richmond, although the build-up to this opener will be far different than his freshman year. The junior has had more than three years to grasp Maryland offensive coordinator Mike Locksley’s system, and part of his progression in training camp was due to his ability to direct the offense and excel in pre-snap situations.
