Maryland football will be looking for a big bounce back performance this Saturday against Minnesota after its 38-14 loss to Penn State. Returning home to College Park, the Terps face a Golden Gophers team that just lost its starting quarterback to injury.
Coach DJ Durkin will have certainly used the week to assess Maryland’s struggles against the Nittany Lions, like the pass game and rush defense. It will be very interesting to see how Durkin can get Maryland to bounce back after his first head coaching loss.
The Numbers
Maryland: 4-1 (1-1 Big Ten)
Minnesota: (3-2) (0-2 Big Ten)
All-time series: Maryland leads 1-0, with the only meeting between the Terps and Golden Gophers in the 1977 Hall of Fame Bowl, which Maryland won 17-7.
