Following Maryland football’s announcement of sophomore quarterback Tyrrell Pigrome’s injury status, freshman Kasim Hill will start under center against Towson.
Hill started the season No. 2 on the depth chart, but with Pigrome out for the season with a torn ACL, the Terps will look to the former four-star to man the helm. Hill will make his first collegiate start in Maryland’s home opener this Saturday.
Hill saw his first collegiate action near the end of the third quarter of the Terps’ opener against Texas, when Pigrome first went down on a scramble.
