Maryland Football: Terps Blow past Rutgers to Secure Bowl Eligibility

For the fifth week in a row, The Maryland football team had a chance to secure a bowl bid with win number six. Rutgers was all it took for the Terps to achieve this feat.

The Terrapins topped the Scarlet Knights 31-13 on Saturday afternoon and finished the regular season with a 6-6 record.

From the kickoff, Maryland showed their skill and separated from the Scarlet Knights. One the second play of the game, senior Kenneth Goins Jr. took the ball 46 yards to the end zone. This was a start Maryland probably couldn’t remember having.

Rather than fighting back, They took the lead and built on to it.
