Perry Hills will not start at quarterback for Maryland football in Saturday’s game against Minnesota, The Washington Post’s Roman Stubbs reported shortly before kickoff.
Hills suffered a shoulder injury in the Terps’ loss at Penn State last week, going down at the very end of the first half and sitting out the rest of the game. He watched in full pads from the sidelines. Pigrome, a freshman, came in and played the rest of the game.
Hills’ absence is fairly surprising, as coaches seemed very optimistic throughout the week that he’d play against Minnesota.
This is Pigrome’s first career start.
