Maryland’s football team posted a program-best Academic Progress Rate score in 2013-2014, according to statistics released by the NCAA on Wednesday.
The football team achieved a multiyear score of 973 and a single-year score of 991, the highest figures for the program since the Academic Progress Rate (APR) was established in 2003. It is the latest academic improvement under Coach Randy Edsall, whose team posted a multiyear score of 950 in 2012-2013. Maryland football has elevated its APR standing considerably since 2009-2010, when it had a multiyear score of 922 and single-year score of 905.
