Maryland Football: Michigan shuts down Maryland

DJ Durkin took his confidence in walk-on quarterback Ryan brand to the next level, and started him against the Michigan Wolverines.

With Max Bortenschlager and Caleb Henderson warming up and remaining dressed for the game, Durkin never doubted Brand and his abilities. After a Bortenschlager injury last week against Rutgers, Brand stepped in and showed some poise.

That poise was missing for this game as passes went al over the place, and the offense never garnered any momentum. Brand finished the game completing just 46 percent of his passes for 136 yards.

Brand would get one touchdown in the fourth quarter as Maryland gained some momentum, but his two interceptions proved to be too much.
