Maryland football added a key piece to its quarterback depth with Virginia Military Institute transfer quarterback Reece Udinski announcing his commitment Sunday.
Udinski, who was named Southern Conference Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, will play for the Keydets during their spring 2021 season and officially join the Terps after graduation in May. He is a senior who will have one year of eligibility at Maryland.
Head coach Mike Locksley and newly-minted offensive coordinator Dan Enos were faced with the transfer of backup quarterback Lance LeGendre to Louisiana this winter, escalating the need for a scholarship quarterback to come in behind Taulia Tagovailoa.
