Maryland got their big recruiting event off to a great start on Saturday.
Just several minutes into the event, Gonzaga (D.C.) center Johnny Jordan announced that he has committed to the Terrapins.
Jordan chose Maryland overs offers such as Boston College, Pittsburgh, Virginia, and Virginia Tech. He was rated as a three-star prospect and a major priority for D.J. Durkin and his staff this summer.
According to 247Sports, Jordan was ranked as the No. 14 center in the country along with being the eight-best player in Washington D.C. That gives the Terps three of the top eight recruits in the District with quarterback Kasim Hill (St.
