Maryland football hires former Virginia assistant Dave Borbley as offensive line coach

Maryland football hired Virginia offensive line coach Dave Borbely for the same position with the Terps, the university announced Wednesday. This move completes DJ Durkin's new coaching staff, according to a release.

During his second stint at Virginia, Borbely served under Mike London, Maryland's new associate head coach. He joins wide receivers coach Chris Beatty as former Virginia assistants on Durkin's staff.

Borbely's previous stops during his 35-year coaching career include Louisville, Notre Dame, Stanford, Temple, Colorado and Rice. He was an offensive line coach every stop of the way since becoming Rice's offensive line coach in 1986.
