The Maryland football program has hired former Virginia head coach Mike London as an associate head coach and defensive line coach, Sports Illustrated's Thayer Evans reports.
London stepped down from his post at Virginia after the season. He went 27-46 over six seasons in Charlottesville, but he's retained a reputation as a sharp local recruiter and defensive mind.
He's Maryland's third known hire under new head coach DJ Durkin. In the last few days, the Terps have brought on Alabama assistant Aazaar Adbul-Rahim as a defensive backs coach and ex-Syracuse head coach Scott Shafer as defensive coordinator.
