Mike Locksley’s on-field Maryland football staff is reportedly complete. He’s bringing in UAB linebackers coach Brian Williams to become the Terps’ 10th and final assistant, according to multiple reports Sunday.
The move was first reported by FootballScoop and has been confirmed by AL.com, which reported that he is accepting the linebackers coaching job at Maryland (this wasn’t included in the initial report.
Williams spent the last two seasons at UAB, where the football program returned from hiatus and won Conference USA in 2018. He’s previously held off-field roles at Georgia and Florida State.
