Maryland football given 5-1 odds to land grad transfer QB Jalen Hurts

Before the 2018 season, quarterback Jalen Hurts’ father said “he’d be the biggest free agent in college football history” if he didn’t win back the starting job at Alabama. A full season behind Tua Tagovailoa later, and Hurts has put his name in the NCAA’s transfer portal.

What started out as a pipe dream has become plausible enough that the Terps are tied for the second-highest odds to land the graduate transfer, according to MyBookie. Maryland and Auburn are tied with 5-1 odds as the landing spot for Hurts, trailing only TCU’s 4-1 odds.
