Maryland freshman running back Lorenzo Harrison and freshman wide receiver DJ Turner will return to the team for offseason workouts next month after missing the final four games of this season to suspension, the school announced on Tuesday.
Harrison and Turner were indefinitely suspended from the team in November after each was charged with three counts of second-degree assault and three counts of reckless endangerment for their alleged roles in a BB gun shooting incident on campus. Both also were charged with one count of school molestation, which is levied when a student or individual has been threatened with bodily harm on university property.
