Maryland football is expected to part ways with offensive coordinator Josh Gattis after two seasons, John Brice of FootballScoop first reported Tuesday.
The change comes after a disappointing year for the Terps, who finished 4-8 and missed out on bowl eligibility for the first time since 2020. Maryland’s offense averaged 23.7 points per game this season, the 11th-best mark in the Big Ten and the program’s lowest output since 2020.
Head coach Michael Locksley took over play-calling duties following the team’s first bye week in early October, while Gattis, the 2021 Broyles Award winner as the nation’s top assistant coach, still served as the offensive coordinator.
