Reece Udinski, a graduate transfer from Virginia Military Institute, has officially joined the program, the school announced Wednesday. Udinksi announced his commitment to Maryland in January.
Playing for VMI in an eight-game spring schedule, Udinksi completed 71.5% of his passes for 1,082 yards, seven touchdowns and two interceptions in four games, leading the Keydets to their first 4-0 start since 1981. The North Wales, Pennsylvania, native suffered a torn ACL on March 20 but Maryland is hopeful he will be ready for the start of the season on Sept. 4 against West Virginia. Udinski will have one year of eligibility for the Terps.
