Fresh off a late win over 13th-ranked Boston College on Friday, Maryland field hockey keyed in against third-ranked Duke as they moved to 5-0.
The No. 4 Terrapins led throughout, scoring two goals in the first 15 minutes. The teams went back and forth in the second half, but Maryland held on for a 4-3 victory.
The scoring stared early for the Terrapins as freshman Bibi Donraadt scored her first goal of the season off a deflection. Maryland was able to generate pressure on the offensive end thanks to Linnea Gonzales and Nike Lorenz, which opened up lanes for other players to step up.
