Despite losing to Penn State in the Big Ten Championship game earlier today, Maryland got a bit of redemption on Sunday night.
The bracket for the NCAA Tournament was unveiled at 10 p.m., and the Terps were awarded the No. 2 overall seed in the tournament.
This is well-deserved for a Maryland team that won the Big Ten regular season title, finished with a 17-4 record, and defeated national powerhouses like Connecticut, Virginia and Penn State in the regular season.
Duke was awarded the tournament’s No. 1 seed. Maryland’s only shot at the Blue Devils would have to come in the NCAA Championship game.
