Maryland defensive lineman Quinton Jefferson announced via Twitter on Thursday that he is entering the NFL draft.
The school later announced his decision.
Jefferson, listed at 6 feet 3, 289 pounds, will graduate this weekend but had one more year of eligibility for the Terps.
He joins defensive end Yannick Ngakoue in leaving Maryland early.
Jefferson had 39 tackles this season, ranking second behind Ngakoue with 6.5 sacks. He also had an interception, a fumble recovery, a forced fumble and a blocked kick.
He was named honorable mention All-Big Ten.
In his tweet, Jefferson called his five years at Maryland the best time of his life.
