Maryland defensive back Tarheeb Still became the second Terp selected in this year’s NFL draft when he was taken in the fifth round by the Las Angeles Chargers on Saturday. Still was selected with the second pick of the fifth round — No. 137 overall.
Offensive lineman Delmar Glaze was Maryland’s first draftee this year, taken by the Las Vegas Raiders in the third round on Friday. With Still’s selection, Maryland has now had multiple players drafted in three straight drafts and at least one defensive back in five of the last six drafts.
This past season was arguably Still’s most complete of his four-year college career.
