After junior Perry Hills was ruled out with mono before kickoff, redshirt junior Caleb Rowe was promoted to his first start since early October and helped Maryland build an early 21-3 lead on senior day.

But Rowe took a knee to the head during a scramble in the second quarter, and he walked off the field shortly after. Before Maryland unraveled in a 47-28 loss, Rowe was evaluated on the sideline by the team’s medical staff and was re-inserted after missing three plays.
