Maryland center Brendan Moore was named to the Rimington Trophy spring watch list Monday.
The rising junior is one of 63 centers under initial consideration for the award, given to the most outstanding center in Division I football.
Moore started all 13 games at center for the Terps as a sophomore last year as Maryland's rushing offense eclipsed 2,500 yards for the first time since 2003.
Although Moore struggled at times last season in pass protection, he has drawn attention from NFL evaluators. ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. rated Moore his top underclassman center in his 2018 draft rankings last week.
