Maryland-Bowling Green delayed due to inclement weather

Saturday’s game between Maryland and Bowling Green has been temporarily suspended due to inclement weather in the College Park area, which forced an evacuation of Byrd Stadium at halftime.

School officials instituted the delay after determining lightning was within 10 miles of the stadium. That came shortly after Maryland took a 13-6 lead into halftime. The delay is expected to last until the weather passes, which will then be followed by a 40-minute window for fans to re-enter the stadium and for the teams to warm up.
